Frontrunner Award for Holland Hydrogen 1
During the World Hydrogen Summit, Shell received a Frontrunner Award for Holland Hydrogen 1: a project that demonstrates the transition from pilot projects to industrial scale. With 200 MW (comprising 10 electrolyzers), HH1 is among the largest operational electrolyzers in Europe.
The project features a direct link to offshore wind (Hollandse Kust Noord), a connection to the national hydrogen network of Hynetwork/Gasunie, and direct application in Pernis, where up to 60,000 kg of green hydrogen per day replaces grey hydrogen, accounting for an annual CO2 reduction of approximately 240 million kg.
A powerful building block for the Rotterdam hydrogen hub and the decarbonization of our industry.
